Wonderful Surprise

When I was in High school I had to change Music teachers as my teacher became ill.
The music school that I then attended offered classes in many instruments and formed an orchestra, in which I played the violin. (we were just all beginners) The reason I did violin lessons was because my brother had played and so we had 2 instruments in our home.
But I always have wanted to play the flute.

Well last week I had a wonderful surprise!!
Rob bought me a flute.

My Darling husband had remembered all these years that I had the desire to play this instrument. THANK YOU!

I am so excited to be able to learn to play this instrument. I really love the sound of flute music.

Our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Zeus developed a tumour on his left leg in about October 2009.
The vet said it was cancer and that it would eventually move to his lungs.

So very sadly we had to say goodbye to Zeus. I took him to be put down on the 1st March.

Zeus was 9 years old and a delightful pet. He loved to swim with us. He enjoyed jumping onto Luke's bed to say goodmorning. He always wanted to be where we were. Loved sneaking into the house to lie at the door. He was very affectionate and an excellent watch dog. We miss him.

Okay, so I know its more than a month later now....... I am getting old now so a bit slower.

2009 found us celebrating our traditional "Christmas Eve" Dinner twice.

The first with our good friends.

The Jordans ( who were in Australia on the real "Chrismas Eve")

Elder Jordon is not photographed as He is on mission.

And the Stolps.

Can you believe it?, didn't get a picture of gorgeous baby Samuel, he slept the whole evening.

We feel so blessed to have them in our lives. We love you guys.

The second one with Granny and Gramps and it was delightful to have my grand nephew Ray join us.
I just love Christmas Mornings, we all shared our feeling about the Saviour this year, and it was a touching experience for me. I am so grateful that we have a knowledge of Jesus Christ and understand He is our Saviour.

After opening gifts and enjoying the delight of others as they received gifts choosen with such care we had a wonderful breakfast, outside under the trees.

Living in Sunny South Africa allows us to enjoy the outdoors on Christmas.

Had such fun playing water Volleyball..

Please note Rob makes it impossible to win... he made Nadine laugh so much she couldn't even focus on the ball never mind hit it. Gran and Gramps were hosing themselves. And Sasha HAS to be on the winning team.

What a lovely time of the year, where we get to spend lots of time together.

Lukes Quote of the Day.

"Give love a chance and it will perfect everything it touches. If you have no other quality than the quality of love, you can succeed with it alone. Without love, even though you may possess all knowledge, you fail."

A Grateful Heart

Well, here is my little corner in the cyber world.
I will attempt to be a diligent blogger. Nadine has lovingly designed my header.
Thanks sweet heart. I love it.

Today I feel very grateful for my family.
I am so proud of, Nadine, who is so strong and steadfast. Who is a beautiful person inside and out.
Sasha, for her strength and diligence and embracing life, with such joy.
Also so proud of her for just been accepted for Honours at Pretoria University for 2010.
Luke, for his exceptional example and cheerful outlook, who listens to the spirit so carefully. He has decided to send a message to his sisters everyday and so mom and granny are also in the loop. Today's message was. "Faith is all that dreamers need to see into the future."
I feel so blessed and priviledged to have had the priviledge of rearing such valiant spirits.

I am thankful for Rob, for being a wonderful husband, my best friend and fantastic father. For his unwavering service to Heavenly Father.
